Free Beer Party

Michelle is having a free beer party in order to win herself some free books this semester. In order to win this contest, she needs to bring the most people to Have a Nice Day on THURSDAY, SEPT 4 from 8-10. All you need to do is show for FREE BEER and tell them you are there for Michelle Angelroth's party. She has also promised to throw a pizza party for everybody that comes if she wins. Books are expensive so she is really hoping to get the bar to pay for hers this semester. Even if you are not a big drinker, please help her out. Just stop in and tell them you are there for her. AND BRING/SEND YOUR FRIENDS, even if you can't make it and they don't know Michelle. It's this Thursday night from 8-10pm. There shouldn't be a cover, since it's one of those free beer parties. The End-All DUNE Marathon

This Saturday evening.... until this Sunday morning, Ian, Rachel, and myself will be dedicating our geekdom to the entire DUNE *and* CHILDREN OF DUNE miniseries's. The ordeal will consist of eating pizza, drinking beer, and watching both 4.5 hour installments back-to-back.

TNM: Heavenly Creatures

The return of the Tuesday Night Movie will kick off this Tuesday, March 18 at my place. I will be showing Peter Jackson's Heavenly Creatures, which is of course one of my favorites. Interestingly enough, I showed this movie for the last TNM, the day before my house got broken into - which put TNM's on hiatus. My Spoon is too big! This is sure to be another winner. How can you sit there and not want to see sick and twisted animation? I am making this a slightly early post, and I realize that. But this weekend is the 25th anniversary of Rocky, so two midnight functions in a row might wear me down. So anyway, if you are interested let me know. I always love the standard Freak Show and Judy's runs.

Friday Night Freak Show: Donnie Darko

The next WMSE Friday Night Freak Show at the Times Cinema is one of my many highly recommended movies: Donnie Darko. I will be there regardless of anyone else's attendance - cause that's how bad I want to see it. For those of you who have seen Donnie Darko, I recommend you come out to celebrate it on the big screen. For those of you who have not seen it, now would be a good time. Last weeks showing SOLD OUT! That should say something.
