This was Ian's idea: Bake a gigantic oversized candy bar for a snack at our housewarming party. The full humor of this idea did not completely hit us until we were about half way through creating this monstrosity.
Upon completion, we were faced with a 26427 calorie, 1566 total fat grams, 12 pound candy bar. Divided by a 2 oz single serving Snickers bar that equals 100 total servings.
The illusion of the final product is that it looks like a chocolate cake, fluffy and soft. In reality it contains 14 layers of solid ingredients, and could most likely render someone unconscious if used to produce a quick blow to the head.
Specific ingredients can vary, don't be afraid to experiment heavily.
MATERIALS
First bake a shortbread base for the candy bar. After that it's just assembly work, piling on oodles of sugary goodness, one on top of the other.
Shortbread ingredients: 5 c Flour 1 c Sugar 1/2 ts Salt 2 c Cold butter
Shortbread directions: In a large mixing bowl, conbine flour, sugar and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Pat into an ungreased baking pan. Prick all over with a fork. Bake at 325 for 10-15 minutes. Cool for 10-15 minutes.
FINAL RESULT
Here is the candy bar upon completion. It debuted at the housewarming party, and took a week to consume.
